Recently I have been on a search to find an answer to the question if you should buy meat online and how safe that is.
I am also trying to figure out how certain it is that you receive the meat that you ordered and not some random piece from a farm far away.
In other words, I am trying to figure out how honest and reliable all the meat stores are that are popping up more and more on the internet.
I guess I am in the lucky circumstance that I have a lot of farms around me and that I know a few of them personally.
This means that I know where their meat is coming from and how it is raised. I am very interested in where my food is coming from and this was one of my concerns with ordering online.
I spend a lot of time reading and researching this and my conclusion is that I have not found any problem with the more well-known sites where you can order online.
They are very transparent in what farms they use and in some cases, it is even the farm itself that is taking care of all the processing, ordering and shipping.
One of the ones with a good reputation is the Farmfoods and if you like to read you can read this Farmfoods review on this website.
Besides this farm, I have also found several other ones that have been around for a while now and in my opinion, they would not still be around if they are not delivering what they say they do.
This means that one of the best tips I can give you is to read as many customer reviews you can find on as many websites as you can find. The reviews on their own sites are, in my opinion, somewhat biased.
In my research, I have found that you can order basically any type of meat. I have even found some exotic meats that I probably would never eat myself, but I guess there is a market for it.
Personally I like grass-fed and finished beef and pork that is raised naturally and not stuffed with all kinds of food that they would never eat in nature.
This brings me to the next point and I think I will write a whole article about that addition to the one I wrote here already.
In general, I think that there is nothing wrong with the meat you order online since it even comes frozen to your house in most cases.
I think, however, that if you order regular non-grass-finished beef you might as well go to your local supermarket.
The reason for that is that the only two benefits are that you know where your meat is coming from and it will be delivered to your doorsteps.
For me personally that is not worth the higher price you pay for it, but you might have a different opinion about that.
In summarizing up what I found out is that it is safe to buy meat online and the only thing I suggest is to order from stores that you researched or one that has been around for a while.
If you, however, do not order grass-finished beef or natural pork you might as well save money and buy it from your local store or a big box store.
